Welcome to Pitstop Clinic

We operate a dedicated testing clinic for Gay & Bisexual Men, Trans/NB people and Queer women. This is a face-to-face, nurse-led testing service that runs out of our Woolwich office from 5-7pm every Wednesday evening. Please note you may see a nurse or a sexual health advisor for your screening.

You don't need to live in the London Borough of Greenwich to attend this service!

Services provided include:-

  • Full STI screen for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis & HIV
  • Arrangement of vaccinations for HPV & Hep B
  • Information and advice on PEP & PrEP
  • Free condoms & lube

We will normally ask you for a urine sample when you test with us. Please make sure you have not urinated for at least 1 hour before you attend the clinic.

Do you have Symptoms?

We are an asymptomatic clinic! If you have symptoms of a sexual infection, it's best for you to go to a GUM clinic to be tested as they can also offer you treatment. If you are unsure about how to contact a clinic in relation to your symptoms, please contact our sexual health phoneline at 020 8305 5005 for advice and signposting.

Please do not attend the Pitstop Clinic if you are experiencing symptoms (or a confirmed diagnosis) of Mpox or COVID. If you believe you may have Mpox please contact your local GUM clinic or you can contact us by email ([email protected]) or phone (020 8305 5005) for advice, signposting, and information. More guidance about the signs and symptoms of Mpox can be found here

Urgent Needs

We are unable to provide you with PEP or PrEP at the Pitstop Clinic. If you need get PEP, you're strongly advised to go to A&E or contact a local GUM clinic and check they have this medication before attending.

PEP needs to be taken within 72-hours of possible HIV infection. It's best if you begin taking it within 24-hours. For more information on where to obtain these medicines, visit our HIV Prevention web page.
